Santa Claus........HO HO HO

I love this time of year... Brayd is on the cusp of knowing the truth about Santa, and I have to tell you... He is breaking my heart!! !! Where is the magic when there is no Santa??? I mean I know we are celebrating the birth of Christ, and that's a beautiful thing, BUT I love Santa, and I love the look on my kids' face when they see all the treasures santa slipped down the chimney for them! I remember one year on the way to grandmas annual Christmas Eve party, Braydon and I were driving and we noticed Santas sleigh and reindeer in the sky, Brayd really saw it.. he believed with all his might that it was Santa, and his eight tiny reindeer! For the next couple of Christmases Braydon always brought up when we saw Santa, and how neat it was! This year... He said, "ma, I didn't really see Santa did I..." What is a mother supposed to do!!!?? Thank goodness I have Carter for this.. but really... when did Braydon become so big, and grown up!!???

Here is a couple pics of the boys, we had Braydons Christmas program and he had to dance with a girl... he was mortified when I asked him to stand by her so I could get a good picture of himand his dancing partner! Such a mean mom!

Here is a couple of Carter yesterday when I was out snowblowing the driveway, he was just hanging with me in the snow... he really is such an awesome kid!! (Although this morning he broke about 10 eggs on the hardwood floors!!!!!!!!!)

Aww mom... another picture...

Look at his hands, he refuses to wear his mittens!

Winter Festivities... Breakfast with Santa.... WOW!

Braydon is such a showoff!

Lance sending Carter down the hill, MOM IN A PANIC!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Honestly BRING IT ON! I have had a change of heart about the weather here in Suncrest. I am welcoming it, embracing it and calling for more snow storms! I will admit, it's nice being stuck at home, and not have to worry about running any errands! This time we were prepared, the previous night we went out on a date, went grocery shopping to stock up on essentials, bought a snowblower, and watched the snow fall while sipping hot cocoa, and sitting by my fire. The following day after our snowstorm, and snowblowing our driveway and a neighbors driveway, we were able to sled with the neighbors, and enjoy life! I have officially decided that I am hooked! I know that I had this chip on my shoulder about good ole' Suncrest, and leaving my friends, and familiarities.. but now, I'm in love.

We had Breakfast with Santa the other day too, it was so fun! We were able to see some familiar faces, and have great conversation. Carter loves Santa as much as the rest, and ran to him chanting, "HO HO HO" and pointing at this red-suited magical man!

Here is a picture of Lance doing me the biggest favor by wrapping and re-wrapping my lights around my front porch! I was standing out on the street barking, "just one more rung Lance, get up there". He is nice! But the house looks absolutely adorable, and we were quite the team! I begged to have the light hanging hired out, Lance kept telling me NO WAY, and I must admit, the memories of us for 2 days hanging lights, and Lance terrified of falling and not dying, but becoming an invalid, is way better than hiring some professional light hanger! I love you Lance, thanks for being a good sport!
